Our Experiences from the 2nd Cyber Security Congress
On June 15, 2023, the 2nd Cyber Security Congress of BVMW Mainz-Bingen took place at the kING Culture and Congress Hall in Ingelheim. The congress focused on "The Human Factor", highlighting the importance of sensitized and informed employees in cybersecurity. It was emphasized that companies of all sizes are threatened by cybercrime and that it is crucial to consider both technical and human aspects of security.
In this context, we at Lednerb IT-Security GmbH had the opportunity to introduce our service, the Cyber Seahorse, to the participants. This offer serves as a practical solution for implementing IT security standards in companies, focusing on small and micro businesses with up to 50 employees.
Julian Rupp's presentation, introducing the new DIN SPEC 27076 standard from the "mIT Standard sicher" initiative, which is applied in our service, was particularly fitting. In this context, we were able to demonstrate how the Cyber Seahorse helps companies effectively implement this standard in practice.
The participants' response to our presentation and the general exchange during the congress was encouraging. It showed that there is a growing need for practical solutions in the field of IT security.
In summary, the congress was an enriching experience, giving us the opportunity to share our expertise and simultaneously gain valuable insights into the current challenges of companies and solutions from our colleagues in other areas of cybersecurity.
